I have never tried a full-power version of the CBR1000F, but I am sure that it must be gorgeous. The power-cut version made by Honda for the Japanese internal market might have a more accurate response than its naked brother CB1000SF and might feel more sporty, but the handicap given by the 249-kg weight is conspicuous especially on tight corners (these being the only corners available on public roads in Japan) compared to smaller motorcycles. On the other hand the lack of power in the high-speed range is conspicuous, compared even to a 600cmc full-power motorbike.
In later years Honda has been adopting EFI for most of the models, but this CBR1000F unfortunately was still on carburetors.
